Start at Raigbeg Memorial- head south on General Wade military road. Just below the Slochd Summit cross road onto the old A9. Then up a track by the railway lines to a bridge before heading NW by moorland track to radio mast and take track winding downhill from mast, under railway and retrace steps to Slochd Summit. This time take lower track back to cars.

From the picnic car park at Redcastle we take minor roads and footpath to the dismantled railway. We negotiate a few tricky stiles skirting SpittalWood.We take muddy paths through the woods to meet the dismantled railway line again and return to the picnic area. Finally we enter the Redcastle estate on good track to return to the cars on the shore road.

Loch Romach lies in Newtyle Forest south of Forres. The walk follows forestry tracks with gentle climbs through open pinewoods then down to the steep sided
Loch Romach. Return is on forest tracks for good views over the Moray Firth.

From the visitor centre at Inverfarigaig ascend through the forest on good track to a viewpoint. A rocky ridge leads to Foyers and onto the Falls of Foyers. Then along paths close to the shore of Loch Ness, head towards Boleskine and back to the car park.

Starting at the wildfowlers car park on the track to Bayhead Farm walk eastwards for about ¾ mile (first 20m will be very muddy). Then turn south through farm land to Craigiehowe Mains and on to Craigiehowe. (Good views from here). Passing Arrie Cottage and Taindore we have a short walk to a view point overlooking Munlochy Bay. Then through a small wood and open fields to Kilmuir and lunch. This is followed by a bit of road walking back to Munlochy Bay.

From the car park at Gallovie, cross the River Pattack and gently upwards to Pattack Falls. Continue on good track to the Linn of Pattack and onto open moorland, following the river. Then we head towards Loch Laggan and Ardverikie. Return to the cars via Kinloch Laggan to rejoin the outward route. Very scenic area.

From Brodie Castle car park, proceed to Dyke Church, Findhorn Bridge, Broom of Moy. Then onto Wellhead, Cloddymoss, Loanhead, Darkglass to Dyke village. Then return to Brodie Castle. A mixture of minor roads, burn, riverside and forest tracks.

The AGM on Saturday 10th March 2012 will be held in the Dunbar Golf Club where parking is available.
Meeting starts @ 2.30pm, all members encouraged to attend.
Those going on the walk meet as usual @0900 hrs. Highland Council Car Park, the walk will be led by Trish Hossack a circular walk in Culbin.
Those who are on the walk on March 10th can obtain Soup and Sandwiches for £6.00 tea/coffee £1.00 extra
Trish will take the orders at the start of the walk and let the Nairn Dunbar Golf Club know the numbers

From Fairways, a short walk on pavement before continuing on the Old Military Road. Through Daviot Wood, crossing Inverarnie Road, over Faillie Bridge to Scataig. A track through a forested area, near the sand and gravel pit, leads to the remains of a little known Wade bridge.

Start near Rogart village square, short walk on main road. Then onto minor road toward Inchcape. Take track onto open hill past Loch Aintine Bheg, cross deer fence at locked gate and onto An Droighneach. Continue along the ridge until descend into glen near Eden Farm. Follow minor road back to start.

The hotel has been booked for the April Weekend Away. It is a small hotel, we have booked the 16 rooms which are either double or twin
To allow the maximum people to attend we have allocated 5 rooms for single occupation.
The cost will be for everyone £55.00 pp Dinner/Bed and Breakfast per night.
We require a deposit of £25.00 per room by February 2nd and balance by April 13th 2012. It will be the case the sooner you book the better chance of obtaining a room.
Both the deposit and balance will be non returnable.

The walks committee are very grateful to all the leaders who have contributed to the winter programme, a good variety of routes are on offer which hopefully will suit most abilities.
In the event of severe weather conditions, members should contact the walk leader in order to ascertain if the route is deemed safe to walk.
There are 3 early starts and 1 late start which is on Boxing Day.
All walks start from Glen Urquhart Road Council Car Park.
It is essential to inform the walk leader if you intend to go direct to the start point.
